While attending college at the University of Texas, I became entranced with the field of interior design. It was so different from everything I had ever done, studied, or even seen before and I wanted more. I decided to seriously pursue design after college by getting a degree at Parsons: The New School for Design in NYC. I loved my time in NY, but didn't exactly see it as sustainable for the long-term, so after four years, I made my way back to Texas (Dallas, specifically). Here I work as a designer for a small residential firm, while doing some freelance writing on the side.
I am also an avid lover of anything non-fiction. Some of my favorites include:
Documentaries: Enron: The Smartest Guys in The Room, Out of the Clear Blue Sky, The Short Game
Books: Tiny Beautiful Things, This is the Story of Happy Marriage, Brain on Fire, Just Kids, How to Murder Your Life, and many, many more
Podcasts: Happier with Gretchen Rubin, This American Life, Dear Sugar Radio
