Feng Shui | Up The Chi

Feng Shui | Up The Chi

A bit of a reiteration of what I've written before, but - there are some easy steps to increase the flow of good energy in one's home. Sarah Rossbach writes in her book Interior Design With Feng Shui that there are eight basic cures to "alter, moderate, or raise chi."

Some of Rossbach's chi cures definitely fall into the category of "things I would never put in my home." Of the eight cures she lists, items I can't personally get behind are: wind chimes/bells and bamboo flutes.

Cures I would gladly implement, however, are:

1. Bright or light-refracting objects

2. Living objects

3. Moving Objects

4. Heavy objects (This helps if there is something in your life you feel the need to anchor down, if you feel you are about to lose something important, such as a relationship or a job.)

5. Electrically powered objects (this isn't too hard to implement. no reference image necessary)

6. Colors - certain colors in certain areas of the home bring about auspicious results.
