Architectural Digest | The Genius of Paul Fortune
The October 2017 Architectural Digest contains the Manhattan home of Nate Reuss, lead singer of the band Fun, and Charlotte Ronson, a fashion designer. I had never heard of either of them or of Paul Fortune, the man who designed their NoHo loft, but let me tell you, I will not soon forget. (The Los Angeles based Fortune is apparently Marc Jacobs' go-to designer choice.) I am absolutely obsessed with this home. It is all the things I think good design should be – not overly trendy, with a strong point of view, unique, and of course, incredibly chic. I’m particularly drawn to the shade of green paint used at the dining room wainscot that carries over into the kitchen cabinetry. You can also tell that a lot of their pieces are vintage, which really adds a sense of character and provenance to the space. In an age when many homes can start to all look the same, this one truly stands on its own.
