Designer Profile | Phoebe Howard
Confession: I’ve become a bit of a podcast fanatic these days. In my hunt for a good listen, I stumbled upon the (seemingly discontinued) podcast about home décor titled The Skirted Roundtable, and listened to an episode where the podcast hostesses interviewed Florida based designer Phoebe Howard.
Phoebe Howard is part of an interior design power couple; Her husband is the lauded Jim Howard. She discusses in the interview, however, that the two prefer not to work with one another. Phoebe calls herself an “accidental designer.” She created a massive furniture store/showroom named Mrs. Howard in her hometown of Jacksonville, FL meant to be a sort of extension of her husband’s design business. The store was a huge success, prompting inquiries for Phoebe’s design services, now across the country. She is known for her subtle, soothing color palette and quintessentially southern style.
