Mindfulness | At Home

I'm currently reading a thought-provoking book on mindful eating titled, The Joy of Half a Cookie. I'm not very far into it, but it's about not depriving yourself and instead, tuning into your body's signals regarding what type of food you should eat and when to stop. The practice of mindfulness has become extremely popular in the last few years, and for good reasons; There have been numerous studies showing quantifiable health benefits from meditation and guiding breathing practice. Because of its popularity, there are books splintering from every facet of the subject: mindful communication, athletics, business, and relationships, to name a few.

I have yet to see, however, anything about using mindfulness with regard to one's home. I raise this more as a question than an answer. What would a mindful home look like? Mindfulness always entails tuning into yourself, so is it applicable in an outward sense? At the very least, we should be able to create environments that are conducive to mindfulness.
